STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT BROCHE'S LYNCHING PROPOSAL

HOW DOES THIS HELP RACE RELATIONS?

Jacksonville – The loose cannon City Council President of Jacksonville, Anne Broche is at it again. After attracting flack for pandering to "Occupy Jacksonville" and the radical left by giving ear to their demands to conduct a mass purge of Jacksonville history, she is back in lock step with them again, this time advocating a monument to lynching in Hemming Park.

What's with Ms. Broche? Has she come down with a bad case of White Guilt Syndrome or Blame America First disease?

As an alternative, Save Southern Heritage Florida has developed a list of 11 North Florida notable local personages who would be more inspirational, relevant, uplifting and complimentary to the historical park and the residents of Jacksonville. "Our list celebrates advancement of Black residents of Jacksonville" said David McCallister, Save Southern Heritage FL spokesman. See the list here.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has been widely discredited, but what Ms. Broche may not know is that they announced over a decade ago a "substantial yearly grant" for a nationwide lynching monument initiative and that she is getting into bed with them by swallowing their agenda hook, line and sinker.

Included in the alternative list are Alexander Darnes, the first black physician in Jacksonville, Robert Lee "Bullet Bob" Hayes Olympic gold medal winner, and Anna Kingsley, the wealthiest ante-bellum black plantation owner in Florida.

HK Edgerton, past president of the Asheville, NC Branch of the NAACP asked "What is the purpose of putting that lynching monument there?"

Mr. Edgerton has visited the park several times and spoken in favor of protection the Veterans memorial there in front of the City Council. "I'll tell you the purpose...It is to create division... using us...against our white family" Edgerton said.

"Why do you keep trying to conjure up hate between us?" Mr. Edgerton asked Ms. Broche.

"In these times of division and heightened discourse, her timing to agitate hate between individuals based on the color of their skin, couldn't be more opportune, if division is your goal" said David McCallister, Save Southern Heritage - FL spokesman.

We view her proposal as just another tactic to diminishing the significance of the service of the veterans of Jacksonville and Florida and tarnish their honor by, subtly equating their veterans service to Florida with violent acts of vigilantes.

"If she wants to put something up, put something up that tells the real story of the love between white and black Southerners. They just can't understand it!" Edgerton concluded.

SAVE SOUTHERN HERITAGE Inc. is a not for profit corporation that educates & advocates on behalf of Southern Heritage & History. It was started in 2015 in response to the knee-jerk Anti-Southern institutionalized bullying and “Eracism” levied against the people of South Carolina by Governor Nikki Haley, after she broke all previous agreements about how South Carolina’s historical veterans and their symbols should be treated and respected. The Florida branch was activated in mid-January 2016, in response to three initiatives in the Florida Legislature that are part of a hate campaign led by Anti-American extremists, who refuse to respect the various cultures that make up the fabric of Florida’s society. Since that time, it has grown in membership and has been active in battles over American History and throughout Florida including the “We’ll Remember in November Campaign” that resulted in #heritagehater candidates to loose elections in Florida and others to win.
