Southern Heritage Statement on Nationwide Violence

Commerical Fire in Tampa Overnight

Tampa – In the aftermath of two days of violent riots including in Tampa, our thoughts and prayers are with our leaders and law enforcement officers in the streets attempting to protect public and private property and lives in these turbulent times and on the heels of the virus pandemic.

Our heart goes out to the men, women and animals of law enforcement agencies that have been killed and injured by the lawless vandals that have exploited a tragic death of a fellow American as an excuse to wreck destruction around our nation.

We are heart broken to learn that the Goodlet Library and UDC Archibes, a repository of historic Southern records, was torched in Richmond, along with other historic sites and landmarks such as the Nashville City Hall. These historic sites were victims alongside television and print media outlets, stores and government buildings and churches.

“It is obvious now to anyone that is watching that the groups just want to disrupt and destroy” McCallister said. We commend and agree with the Allanta, GA mayor in her sentiment when she said ‘“When Dr. King was assassinated, we didn't do this to our city…“If you care about this city, then go home.”’

“We have been ringing the alarm bell that permissive violence of anarchists would expand if not checked” said David McCallister, Save Southern Heritage – Fl spokesman. “The same people that organized the riots in Tampa last night are the same groups that organized to remove our historic memorials in Hillsborough and Manatee Counties” McCallister added.

The Democratic Socialists claimed organization of the protest that erupted into destruction of property in the USA area of Tampa over night. our 2017 "Speaker Study” and Exhibit and our Tampa Heather Vigil “Dossier” exposed that role of Anti-fa and the Democratic Socialists in the Tampa Cenotaph fight. We also know that 'Answer Suncoast' was involved in the Historic Manatee County Cenotaph” McCallister said. “This are the same bunch of domestic terrorists that intimidated elected officials all around Florida” McCallister said.

In response to calls for task forces to 'study the problem' McCallister said “We have cautioned law enforcement officials about the violent tactics of these groups. We know who they are but the permissive tolerance of intimidation and ignoring the rule of law has emboldened these terrorists to strengthen unchecked."

“It’s not surprising to us this happened, what is surprising is that Public officials are surprised" McCallister added.

Last night Texas defended the Alamo Cenotaph that was targeted but Texans showed up in force to protect it. “God bless those Texans” McCalister concluded.

We call on Florida Gov. Desantis and State, Federal and Local law enforcement to look at our research and use it as they work to identify those responsible around Florida. We also ask the President to investigate the social media platforms that have been used to incite these terrorist activities.
