Save Southern Heritage - FL (" SSH FL") members and friends are pleased to see that Lawrence McClure advanced in the Republican Primary Election for Florida House Dist. 58. "Though we cannot not endorse a candidate for office, we were heavily involved in voter education in this race" said David McCallister, SSH FL spokesman. 'We know, as did Mr. McClure, that Floridians are sick and tired of the destruction of these beautiful historical war memorials and the proof is in the pudding" McCallister added. Lawrence McClure was the only Republican candidate that responded to the SSH FL Candidate Survey, pledging in writing to support a statewide protection law that would protect Memorials to all veterans of all wars including Confederate War memorials. "We have learned that Black Lives Matter, Anti-Fa and other terrorist organizations will use any means necessary to destroy American History, and so local elected officials are easily intimidated and bullied in to committing historical vandalism" McCallister said. "McClure's support of a statewide bill, that would protect memorials to all veterans of all wars, will give local officials the cover they need to ignore these thugs" he added. "This election will send a strong signal to Tallahassee and all around the State that Floridians are sick and tired of the unhinged left-wing radicals' War on Americana. Treatment of flags, statues, American veterans and their memorials has become a key election issue of this political cycle" McCallister concluded. SAVE SOUTHERN HERITAGE Inc. is a 501 c(4) public welfare corporation that educates & advocates on behalf of Southern Heritage & History. It was started in 2015 in response to the knee-jerk Anti-Southern institutionalized bullying and “Erase-ism” levied against the people of South Carolina by Governor Nikki Haley, after she broke all previous agreements about how South Carolina’s historical veterans and their symbols should be treated and respected. SSH FL does not condone racism and as such we do not support any group or person that does. We respect the rights and privileges of all as bestowed on them by their creator and expect those in our association to respect and treat others as they themselves would wish to be treated. The Florida branch was activated in mid-January 2016, in response to three initiatives in the Florida Legislature that are part of a hate campaign led by Anti-American extremists, who refuse to respect the various cultures that make up the fabric of Florida’s society. Since that time, it has grown in membership and has been active in Heritage battles throughout Florida including the “We'll Remember in November Campaign” that resulted in #heritagehater candidates to lose elections in Florida.
